Chief Remote Pilot Training
This course is designed for:
- existing CRP's wanting to update their knowledge to the new MOS requirements, or
- an existing Remote Pilot Licence holder stepping up to the role of CRP
- a CRP wanting to move into operations outside of the SOC box or EVLOS
- a CRP wanting to implement Senior Base Pilots in his team
This 1-day virtual classroom course (with an optional half day face to face) is designed for:
- existing CRP's wanting to update their knowledge to the new MOS requirements, or
- an existing Remote Pilot Licence holder stepping up to the role of CRP
- a CRP wanting to move into operations outside of the SOC box or EVLOS
- a CRP wanting to implement Senior Base Pilots in his team
The new Part 101 MOS has some major changes to the CRP role, responsibilities, and record keeping. In addition, AC's have been updated and further changes are in the wind.
If you have not completed a full MOS RePL; you will want to attend this course to fill in the gaps, such as record keeping, tethered operations and flying near airports with the new NFZ's.
Our course covers the new regulations, the record-keeping, and knowledge requirements that have changed with the new MOS.In addition, the new reporting to ATSB and the Form101-09 / NOTAM process in detail. We also cover the EVLOS Class 1 and 2 options and requirements,
The training would cover the upgraded rules around airports, for example, the JSA and Risk Assessment updated requirements and the additional practical theory and the option of some practical flying, such as tethered operations.
This fills in the gaps from the old to new courses and regulations.

- Scenarios
- Tethered Operations and waypoints
- EVLOS Class 1 and 2 requirements
- Implementing a Senior Base Pilot program
Then, as an option, attend a half day for practical theory and flying, JSA/ Risk Assessment recap, and tethered operations and waypoints.
