Operation Training - to 9 April 2020
The current Operation Training courses will only be available to the 9 April 2020.
The current operation Training is mainly practical focused with a few online theory modules. Typically up to 6 hours face to face. The new Upgrade Training from 10 April 2020 will be 2 days (one day theory, one day practical).
So, if you are thinking of adding a variation to your current manned or unmanned licence, do it before 9 April 2020 saving you time and money.
You will have access to our digital notes before, during and after your course completion, including any updates as new Regulations become effective.
Our free Drone 101 app includes the new MOS, as well as allthe relevant drone regulations.
We also offer ReOC documentation and consultation for non-complex and complex operations. Our documents comply with the new guideleines for ReOC documentation and assessment. The ReOC gives you the edge with night flying, close proximity, Restricted Area Approvals and many other instruments (approvals, such as EVLOS) that you can add to your ReOC.
The Upgrade (Operation) Training is for:
current PPL, CPL or ATPL pilots wanting to obtain their Remote Pilot Licence in the under 7kg or under 25kg weight class.
or current UAV Controller Certificate or Remote Pilot Licence holders who wish to upgrade to the under 25kg weight class for the same type of craft as per their Licence. This includes multirotors, fixed wing and helicopter, and you will require at least 5 hours logged flying experience on your type;
or for current UAV Controller Certificate or Remote Pilot Licence holders who wish to add a different type of craft to their existing Licence. This includes multirotors, fixed wing and helicopter, and you will require at least 5 hours logged flying experience on your type.
If you already hold a UAV Controller Certificate or Remote Pilot Licence, and you complete our CASA approved Operation Training, then we will submit details of your experience gained to CASA using Form 101-05.
If you have a manned aviation licence, then you will receive your initial licence only after you submit details of your experience gained (our Operation Training Certificate and Logbook)) to CASA using Form 101-01, and you will be required to pay your CASA fee (approx $160) for the initial issuing of the licence.
Upgrade (Operation) Training is conducted at the end of our RePL drone training courses in your area.
