BVLOS approvals

CASA have developed a suite of standard scenarios that may be used to apply for BVLOS operations.  However, these are limited to the particular scenario. Applying for Australia wide BVLOS approval is a better pathway for any business venturing into BVLOS.

Bear in mind that a RPA may only be flown in a BVLOS operation when:
1. visibility is at least 5,000 m
2. at least 1,000 ft vertically clear of cloud
3. not in the vicinity of thunderstorms
4. forecast wind speed is 25 kts or less (not including gusts), and
5. OEM weather limits are not exceeded.

Wicked Copters develop procedures and supply BVLOS hardware, software and RPA, as well as support to ensure you succeed with regulatory approval in the shortest timeframe.

SORA was developed by the Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS) and was adopted by CASA in 2017.

Wicked Copters are able to provide consultation and assistance in preparing procedures and JARUS / SORA assessments for your application. In addition, we can fit our system to your drone and provide testing and support for regulatory approval and operations, including all documentation / procedures.
