CASA BVLOS Standard Scenario: AU-STS 7 (Webinar)
- In this webinar, Wicked Copters will take you through the background and requirements to lodge a BVLOS application for the CASA Standard Scenario “AU-STS7” for operations above 400 feet AGL and up to 5000 feet AMSL in remote Australian airspace, that is defined by CASA as locations with very low population density and low risk of aircraft encounters.
- Webinar runs every Friday afternoon (2 hours)
CASA BVLOS Standard Scenario AU-STS7
During this live BVLOS webinar, we will cover the guidance material published by CASA and provide you with a detailed understanding of the requirements you must meet and what documentation you must provide.
If your operation falls within the CASA BVLOS Standard Scenario AU-STS7:
“For this BVLOS standard scenario (AU-STS 7), CASA has undertaken a SORA assessment for a predefined Concept of Operations (CONOPs) for a Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operation > 400 ft AGL and < 5,000 ft AMSL in remote Australian airspace (RAA) with a sparsely populated ground environment.
While not an exhaustive list, the use-cases that fall within this scenario might include large-scale rural surveys, agriculture, and environmental monitoring in Remote Australian Airspace.
CASA has made determinations on the likely mitigations that an operator must provide evidence to demonstrate the safety gain is achieved to an acceptable degree. For this specific type of operation, CASA has additionally provided guidance on the necessary documentation needed to show compliance with the mandatory requirements to demonstrate a reasonable safety case.”
Wicked Copters also offers a “turn key” service to develop these documents, attend meetings with you and CASA, and amending them as required to meet your operational needs.
